Meet Eric
Eric Wilson is deeply rooted in Western Wisconsin with family going back five generations. He comes from a big family of teachers, coaches, small business owners, and manufacturing workers.
Wisconsinites believe in justice, democracy, and bold solutions to the crises we face.
As Treasurer, my mission is to build a state government that earns trust through: Transparency, Knowledge, and Action.

Here’s what I’m fighting for:
- Guard the People’s Money — Transparent, accountable stewardship that puts taxpayers first.
- Return What’s Yours — Modernize unclaimed property so more money gets back to Wisconsin families.
- Invest in Our Future — Grow trust funds that support schools, libraries, and communities.
- Champion Innovation in Finance — Support responsible blockchain adoption to modernize Wisconsin’s financial infrastructure and improve transparency.
This isn’t just a wishlist — I have the skill set to help make it happen.
Let’s build it together.
- Expand pathways that turn on‑time rent into down‑payment savings
- Partner with credit unions and community lenders
- Clear, plain‑language tools to compare mortgages, interest, and total cost
- Age‑appropriate curriculum in schools
- Community workshops and online modules in multiple languages
- Provide tools and education to help residents safely navigate cryptocurrency, NFTs, and emerging Web3 technologies
- Practical guides on budgeting, credit, saving, and investing
- Advocate for fair rules and transparency
- Promote safe alternatives and emergency lending options
- Publish consumer alerts in plain English
- Proactive outreach, data‑driven matching, and mobile “claim clinics”
- One‑page claim flow; text/email status updates
- Optional giving: allow people to donate recovered funds to local causes if they choose
- Prudent, transparent investment policy to support schools and libraries
- Quarterly dashboards the public can read and understand
- Safeguards and independent audits
